GETTING STARTED
PREPARATIONS FOR GLUING
The surfaces to be glued must be clean, dry
and free of grease. Roughen smooth surfaces
before gluing. DO NOT USE INFLAMMABLE
SOLVENTS FOR CLEANING! The ambient
temperature and the work piece to be glued
must not be colder than +5 °C or warmer than +50
°C. Warm rapidly cooling materials (e.g., steel) for
better adhesion.
GLUING
DANGER OF BURNING! The glue and the
nozzle tip are heated to 195 °C. Do not allow
the hot glue to come into contact with persons or
animals. If hot glue touches the skin, immediately
hold the spot for some minutes under a stream of
cold water. Do not try to remove the glue from the
skin. Insert the glue stick.
Press the feed trigger (6).
NOTE: For your first use, you may need to
load up to two full glue sticks before glue begins
to flow.
CHANGING GLUE STICKS
Do not attempt to remove the unused portion
of the glue stick from your glue gun. If you need
to switch glue stick formulas, empty the melting
chamber by squeezing the trigger andinsert new
formula.
