2.2.2 Point-to-point, ‘Terminal Clock – Slave Clock’
Topology
When the remote DTE must follow the timing resource of local DTE (the TX Clock is Internal
Clock in local DTE), it is advised to set the local RC801-30B-FV35 Terminal Clock, and remote
RC801-30B-FV35 Slave Clock Mode.
When using the structure, if PCM equipment is serially connected in the E1,the other equipment
should be ‘Slave clock’ (following the E1 line clock).
2.3 Extended Connection Type
RC801/803/805-30B-FV35 cannot be interconnected with other brand name V.35 interface fiber
optic modems. However, users can adopt RC802-30B series E1 fiber optic modem, which will
convert the optical signals to G.703 compliant E1 electrical signals, and then, connect with a V.35
to fractional E1 interface converter. Users can adopt Raisecom series interface converters such as
RC903-V35FE1 and RC904-V35FE1, and also other brand name interface converters.
