TOOL DISASSEMBLY
1.
Unscrew and remove the pawl cap.
If necessary to use pliers, take
care to prevent forming sharp burrs
on the cap which may cause finger
cuts. (Spall gaurd not shown for
sketch clarity).
2.
Remove the pawl spring and pawl.
3.
Pull the barrel assembly out of the
receiver.
4.
Unscrew the muzzle bushing from
the front end of the barrel. Inspect
the muzzle bushing for wear and
end damage.
5.
Remove the buffer from the muzzle
bushing and inspect for wear and
damage and replace if necessary. It
is good practice to replace the
buffer anytime the piston is
replaced.
UNSCREW THE PAWL CAP
REMOVE THE PAWL SPRING
AND PAWL
UNSCREW THE MUZZLE BUSHING
AND INSPECT
REMOVE BUFFER AND INSPECT
FOR WEAR AND DAMAGE
REMOVE THE BARREL
