If reusing the original indicators
•
Remove the reflector bracket nut arrowed in
picture 10
.
•
Remove the two screws arrowed in
pictures 11 and 12
, this will allow the
bracket to be split apart as shown in
picture 13
.
•
Remove the screw arrowed in
picture 14
.
•
Remove the indicator clamp bracket as shown in
picture 15
.
•
Remove the indicator spreader plate as shown in
picture 16
.
•
Gently squeeze the indicator stem and remove the indicator.
•
Repeat the above steps to remove the opposite indicator.
•
Fit the indicators into the new licence plate bracket (
item 1
) and secure as shown
in
pictures 17, 18, 19 and 20
.
If using the mini indicators
•
To fit the R&G Mini Indicators (R&G mini indicator product code RG370 for
bulb type and RG371 for LED type or RG372 for Aero Style led type).
•
Position two indicator adaptors (
item 9
–
I0039
) onto the wiring of each
indicator, ensuring the sides facing each other have the raised centre profile,
before fitting the flanged nut supplied, as shown below and
pictures 21 and
22
.
•
Feed the indicator wiring through one of the nut/wire covers (
item 6
) as
shown in
pictures below
(it helps if a small amount of liquid detergent is
used) and position the nut cover over the nut (repeat the above for the
opposite indicator).
•
Fit one length of heat-shrink (
item 14
) over the wires of each indicator so the
heat-shrink fits over the stem of the nut/wire cover and gently heat until the
heat-shrink contracts to the wiring and nut/wire cover as shown in
pictures
below
.
•
Feed the wires of the new R&G licence plate illuminator (
item 10
) through the
central hole in the new licence plate bracket (
item 1
) as shown in
pictures 23
and
24
.
•
Secure using the washers and nut supplied as shown in
picture 24
.
•
Fit one length of heat-shrink (
item 14
) to the wires and heat gently to shrink to
fit.
•
Fit the light shroud and use a small amount of adhesive to hold it in position as
shown in
picture 23
.
