Basic description of the diagnosis
The
Physiolaser
olympic
can be used for point search and diagnosis, including:
search and measure body points, ear points, neural points
If you detect a point, the display will show the point’s electrical value and an acoustic
signal, increasing with the electrical conductance of the skin. The value is found
between 0 through 255, and can be understood as a relative amount of the electrical
conductance.
Install the diagnostic probe and hand probe
The diagnostic probe must be used for carrying out measurements. To do so, attach the
plugs of diagnostic probe to the socket at the front panel of the
Physiolaser
olympic
.
The patient must hold the hand electrode.
Point search
Point searching is based on the fact that conductance differs along the surface of the
skin in terms of distribution. Keep in mind that the search procedure calls for a certain
degree of practice and routine.
You will be looking for the point where the electrical conductance is either slightly less
than that of neutral skin.
Memory of maximal value
The maximal value will remain in the memory until it is set to zero with the CLEAR
button.
Range of sensitivity
The
Physiolaser
olympic
offers three levels of sensitivity to be selected according to
the patients skin condition (e.g. dry/humid).
Low sensitivity
Standard sensitivity
High sensitivity
Observe
1. Constant equalization and bearing pressure
Make certain that measuring conditions such as the bearing pressure remain constant.
