Bit enabled by RQS
Description
4
Command Complete
5
Illegal Command
6
Service Request
7
not used (value 0)
Bits 0 and 7 are not used and always have the value 0.
Please note that the R&S
FSV/A reports any key pressed on the front panel rather than
only the unit keys if bit 1 was enabled.
Another difference is the behavior of bit 6 when using the STB? query. On the HP ana-
lyzers this bit monitors the state of the SRQ line on the bus. On the R&S
FSV/A this is
not possible. Therefore this bit is set, as soon as one of the bits 1 to 5 is set. It won't be
reset by performing a serial poll.

Reference: Command Set of Emulated PSA Models
The R&S
FSV/A analyzer family supports a subset of the GPIB commands of
PSA89600 and ESA instruments.
Despite the differences in system architecture and device features, the supported com-
mands have been implemented in a way to ensure a sufficiently high degree of corre-
spondence with the original.
In many cases the selection of commands supported by the R&S
FSV/A is sufficient to
run an existing GPIB program without adaptation.
