Wiring Information
The Tire Changer comes with a Power Cord with three exposed wires. The three exposed wires need
to be hard-wired to the facility’s power system
or
connected to a 208-240 VAC Plug (which is then
connected to a power outlet).

All electrical work, such as hard-wiring the unit to the facility’s power system or
attaching a Plug to a Power Cord,
must be done by a licensed, certified
Electrician
in accordance with all applicable local electrical codes. Damage to the
unit caused by improper electrical installation voids your warranty.
The Tire Changer does
not
come with a 208-240 VAC
Plug
; you must supply one.
The colors of the three exposed wires are Brown, Blue, and Green/Yellow, the European color code.
The Green/Yellow wire can sometimes appear almost all Green, with very little yellow. This is fine.
Important
: To connect the three exposed wires to an appropriate Plug or to hard wire them, have
your Electrician follow the electrical codes for the country in which you are using the
unit and any local electrical codes.
If you are using the unit in the United States, for example, the color codes on the wiring that comes
with the Tire Changer correspond to:

: Live

Blue
: Live

Green/Yellow
: Ground
If you were using the unit in a European country, for example, the color codes on the wiring that
comes with the Tire Changer correspond to:

Brown
: Live
•
Blue
: Neutral
•
Green/Yellow
: Ground
Information about color code conventions in other regions and countries is available online. Make sure
your Electrician installs the Plug or hard wires the Tire Changer in accordance with all applicable local
electrical codes.
