Maintenance

DANGER
Before performing any maintenance, make sure the Lift is completely
disconnected from compressed air and
cannot
be re-connected until all
maintenance is complete. If the compressed air is re-connected during
maintenance, you or someone else could be injured.
If your organization has Lockout/Tag Out policies, be sure to implement them to
ensure no-one can start the Lift while maintenance is in process.
Read your manual and understand how this equipment works before using, maintaining or
repairing. Routine maintenance and adjustments are the responsibility of the owner/user and are
not covered under warranty.
Routine maintenance and adjustments should be carried out on a regular basis.
Unless stated
otherwise, all maintenance may be performed by the owner/employer and does not require trained
lift service personnel
. Replace worn, damaged or broken parts with original BendPak or BendPak
approved parts or with parts that meet or exceed the original specifications.
To maintain your Lift
:

Disconnect the Lift from its pressurized Air Supply
before
performing any
troubleshooting procedures. The Lift uses pneumatic (air) energy; if your
organization has Lockout/Tagout policies, make sure to implement them once
the Lift is connected to a pressurized Air Supply.
To maintain your ATV/Motorcycle Lift
:
•
Cleanliness
. Keep the Lift clean, dry and free of debris. Wipe it down after each use; remove
any water grease, dirt, or other debris. Pay special attention to keeping the Safety Lock Ladder
and Safety Lock Plate clean and free of debris.

Wheel Vise Assembly
. Be careful not to strike or bend the Clamp Assembly. If the shaft or Vise
Clamps are bent, it may affect its function or efficacy.
•
Hydraulic Fluid
. The small amount of Hydraulic Fluid in the Pump generally does not need to be
changed or added to. If you think your Lift has dirty or low Hydraulic Fluid, visit

Lubrication
.
On a monthly basis, or as required with frequent use.
