All air handlers are shipped in the horizontal position.
Prior to lifting an
u
pright air handler, the follo
w
ing
steps m
u
st be performed (

):
Step 1: The air handler m

st be lifted
u
sing the t
w
o
lifting l
u
gs on the top of the discharge end and the
t
w
o lifting l
u
gs on the inlet end,
u
sing a spreader bar
across the long axis. Lift the air handler off the skid
and place it on a flat, clean, dry s
u
rface.
Step 2: Remo
v
e the lifting l
u
gs on the inlet end of the
air handler and re-install hard
w
are.
Step 3: Use all fo
u
r lifting l
u
gs on the discharge end
of the air handler to enable the air handler to be lifted
into the
u
pright position.
Step 4: Lift the air handler into
u
pright position.
