Connection Ports
There are 4 ports located on the front panel of the PDU as shown below.
The table below explains the function of each port.
Port
Used for...
USB-B
Establishing a USB connection between a computer and the PXE device.
This port can be used for disaster recovery of the PXE device. Contact
Raritan Technical Support for instructions.
RS-485
Reserved for a future release.
*SENSOR
Connection to Raritan's environmental sensors.
A sensor hub is required if you want to connect more than one DPX sensor
package.
ETHERNET
Connecting the PXE device to your company's network:
Connect a standard Cat5e/6 UTP cable to this port and connect the other
end to your network. This connection is necessary to administer or access
the PXE device remotely using the web interface.
There are two small LEDs adjacent to the port:
Green indicates a physical link and activity.
Yellow indicates communications at 10/100 BaseT speeds.
* The SENSOR port on a PXE PDU is RJ-12.
