TR-18; 24; 30-(J) (MATCH LIT) (NATURAL GAS ONLY):

This appliance must be lighted by hand each time it is used.  When lighting the appliance, follow these instructions
exactly.  Use only your hand to push in or turn the gas control knob.  Never use tools.  If the knob will not push in or
turn by hand, don't try to repair it, call a qualified service technician.  Force or attempted repair may result in a fire or
explosion.
1.  Place lighted match on right side of FRONT BURNER TRAY near inlet end of burner (FIGURE 3).     

DO NOT

HOLD    MATCH IN HAND!
2.  Slowly open PRIMARY GAS SUPPLY VALVE and wait for burner to light. (FIGURE 3)
3.  Adjust PRIMARY GAS SUPPLY VALVE to obtain desired flame height.  Ensure adequate gas supply is
available to operate FRONT BURNER TRAY and MIDDLE BURNER TRAY.

TR-18; 24; 30-M-(MANUAL PILOT CONTROL)

PILOT LIGHTING AND OPERATION:

1.

Slightly  push  in  PRIMARY  GAS  SUPPLY  V A L V E     knob  and  turn  to

S E A S O N / O F F ” see (FIGURES 3 & 4).
2.

Wait five minutes before lighting.

3.

Slightly push knob and turn to “P I L O T / O F F ”.

4.

Depress valve knob until air is bled and gas flows to pilot. Press PIEZZO IGNITOR

BUTTON (FIGURE 4) to light pilot.  Continue to hold valve knob in until Pilot remains
lit when knob is released.
5.

Slowly turn PRIMARY GAS SUPPLY VALVE knob to “O N ”.  All three burner's

(FRONT BURNER, MIDDLE BURNER and REAR BURNER) flame height is
controlled by the position of the PRIMARY GAS SUPPLY VALVE knob.
6.

If the appliance fails to light or if pilot goes out, repeat steps 1 through 5 above .

7.  For complete shutdown, slightly push PRIMARY GAS SUPPLY VALVE
(FIGURE 4)
 knob in and turn to “S E A S O N / O F F ”.
