Maximizing Illumination Time/Battery Life
Fully charged 2400mAH NiMH batteries should provide
approximately 9-11 hours of illumination time (when in Mode #1:
BLUE LEDs constant ON).
TIPS:
•
Blue LED’s draw the most power. RED LED’s draw the
least. Therefore, you may notice that tubes set on Mode 1
will have shorter battery life than tubes set at Mode 3.
•
Modes 4 & 5 will extend illumination time (battery life) due to
the “OFF” time of certain LED’s. Longest battery life will
occur in Mode 5.
•
Turn the photocell ON to increase illumination time/battery
life. With the photocell on, the controller will automatically
turn the LEDs off when the tube is in daylight or a brightly lit
area.
•
Do not discharge batteries fully. It is better to charge NiMH
batteries before they are fully spent (dead).
