4.4 Work Patterns and Control Modes
There are two work patterns for the laser: CW(continuous wave) and pulse pattern. In CW
pattern, the laser emits continuously. As for pulse pattern, The output beam of laser is pulsing,
transform the waveform by setting frequency, duty ratio and the percentage of power.
There are three control modes to choose, external control RS-232 mode, external control
AD mode, and Internal control mode. RS-232 mode is to set up parameters and control laser
enable signal externally. AD mode is to set up parameters (MOD, Analog Quantity) and control
laser enable signal externally. Internal control mode is to set up parameters and control laser
enable signal internally. Each control modes can be achieved in two work patterns: CW mode,
pulse mode.
4.5 Operating Process
All electrical connections must be finished before the laser is powered up;

Make sure that the pins 6 and 7 of DB9 SERVICE interface are connected.

Turn on the chiller, check that if it is working properly.

Connect AC power.

Short-circuit the SERVICE interface
“
POWERA” and
“
POWERB” to enable laser.
