9.1 Power connection
The supplied power cable is connected to the
POWER | VIDEO 1 | AUDIO
connector located on the rear of the display. The power cable must then
be connected to a 12 V dc or 24 V dc power supply; this can be achieved
by connecting to a distribution panel, or directly to a battery. The product is
protected against reverse polarity.

Positive (Red) wire: connect to the power supply’s positive (+) terminal.

Fuse.
5. Negative wire: connect to the power supply’s negative (-) terminal.
6. Drain wire: connect to RF ground point. If no ground point is available,
connect to the battery’s negative (-) terminal.
Note:
• Axiom® 2 XL displays are supplied with a Power/video/audio cable that
has a right-angled connector. A straight connector cable is also available
(A80744).
• The original Axiom® Power/Video/NMEA 0183 cables cannot be used
with Axiom® 2 XL displays.
Inline fuse and thermal breaker ratings
The following inline fuse and thermal breaker ratings apply to your product:

Note:
• The suitable fuse rating for the thermal breaker is dependent on the
number of devices you are connecting. If in doubt consult an authorized
Raymarine dealer.
• Your product’s power cable may have a fitted inline fuse. If not, you must
fit an inline fuse to the positive wire of your product’s power connection.
Caution: Power supply protection
When installing this product ensure the power source is
adequately protected by means of a suitably-rated fuse or
thermal circuit breaker.
Power distribution
Recommendations and best practice for the power connection of products
supplied with a drain wire as part of the supplied power cable.
• The product is supplied with a power cable, either as a separate item or a
captive cable permanently attached to the product. Only use the power
cable supplied with the product. Do NOT use a power cable designed for,
or supplied with, a different product.
