Lifeline
Problem
Possible solution
Cannot register a specific Lifeline tag
Replace the tag battery See “Replacing a transmitter battery” on
page 63.
Cannot activate any Lifeline tag
1. Check antenna are correctly installed and connections are
correct.
2. Make sure tags are correctly seated in the Lifeline receiver.
Lifeline data box shows ‘ Lifeline Offline’ message
Check cable connections between computer and interface units.
Lifeline MOB alarm activates as tags are carried
around boat
Incorrect Lifeline antenna coverage. Check antenna locations,
orientation and connections are correct.
Cannot register a tag after a system reboot
Lifeline needs to detect activated tags. Click ‘Reset Lifeline’, a
message asking if you want to register detected tags will be
displayed. Click
OK
, you will now be able to register a new tag.
All tags show 24 hours to expiry even though this is
not correct
This usually occurs after a system reboot. De-activate all tags and
re-activate them.
Lifeline shows ‘Man Overboard’ alarm on opening
Computer, not H6 system has been shut down. Click ‘Reset
Lifeline’. Alarm will be cancelled and Lifeline system will reset.
Trackball
Problem
Possible solution
Cursor stops following the trackball
Move the trackball more slowly. The cursor will then follow.
Entertainments system
Problem
Possible solution
Audio-visual control unit will not accept a disk.
1. Check tha t the unit is turned on.
2. Press the eject button in case there is already a disk in the unit.
Power amplifier (not the speakers) makes a
continuous clicking noise.
Check amplifier input voltage and power requirements are being
met.
Cannot view navgation screen on entertainments
screens.
Check cable computer and interface connections.
Etertainment screen does not change from Nav 1 to
Nav 2
Check nav interface to ents interface comms cable connections.
Entertainments do not respond to remote control
1. Make sure the remote is pointed towards the AV control unit.
2. Check batteries in the remote control unit do not require
replacing.
Message ‘ Audio system not responding’ appears on
screen.
Check all computer and interface connections.
No sound from a center or rear speaker
Check DVD/CD disk is 5.1 audio.
No sound from a speaker
1. Check volume settings.
2. Check 5.1 audio cable and connections
.
Remote control unit screen is blank
Change the batteries.
