6.1 Vessel Settings
Vessel settings can be accessed from
Main menu > Set up > Auto
pilot calibration > Vessel settings
.

When connected to a SeaTalk system the vessel settings
listed below are part of the
Dealer settings
menu,

Limits are set by the installed course computer and so
not all limits may be available.

The vessel type options
will normally give optimum
performance for typical vessels
of each type. However, you
may find you can improve the
performance of your vessel
by selecting an option for a
different vessel type.
• Race sail.
• Sail cruiser.
• Catamaran.
• Workboat.
• RIB.
• Outboard speed boat.
• Inboard speed boat.
• Power cruiser 1. —
vessels capable of speeds
up to 12 knots.
• Power cruiser 2.— vessels
capable of speeds up to 30
knots.
• Power cruiser 3 — vessels
capable of speeds greater
than 30 knots.
• Sport fishing.

speed
Set the cruise speed to the
vessel’s typical cruising speed.
If no speed data is available,
the SmartPilot system will use
the cruise speed value you set
here as a default when adjusting
autopilot settings.
