5. ELECTRICAL
CONNECTIONS
Refer to the rating plate below the control panel for precise
power requirements for your unit, and for ampacity and
over-current protection requirements.
All wiring must be in accordance with the National Electrical
Code, NFPA No. 70, latest edition, and all applicable state
and local codes. Wiring diagrams are located on
pages
19 through 23
.
NOTE:
Refer to the National Electrical Code, Article
680, for general requirements for swimming pools and
equipment, and to Article 440 for special considerations
necessary for circuits supplying hermetic refrigeration
motor/compressors.
• Locate the equipment disconnect means within 3
feet (91 cm) of the heater’s electrical enclosure, or
as close to the heater as possible. Always satisfy
applicable codes and standards.
• In sizing power wiring, be especially aware of up-sizing
requirements necessary due to wiring distances.
