Appendix B Troubleshooting
Troubleshooting
SPEEDRAY™ 1000 SYSTEM
DOES NOT POWER ON:
• Verify that the Indoor Unit (IDU) and
receiver are powered on.
• Check for blown fuses.
• Verify all cables are connected properly.
• Verify vehicle battery has been reconnected
properly.
SPEEDRAY™ IDU DOES NOT
LOCK ON SATELLITE:
• Ensure that coaxial cable connections are
installed properly.
• Confirm clear line of sight to the satellite.
• Verify that the receiver is locked on the satellite
from the Setup Menu of the receiver.
• Check that the radome of the antenna is free
of any obstructions (water, snow, ice, or
debris).
•
Clean radome with soft cloth and water.
SPEEDRAY™ SYSTEM
CONTINUALLY RESETS:
• Verify that all connections are installed
properly.
• Check for proper wiring to the vehicle’s
power source.
• Verify 1 VDC is being supplied to the IDU.
BLACK OR BLUE SCREEN ON
TELEVISION:
• Verify that the IDU and receiver are powered
on.
• Ensure that all video connections are installed.
• Check for proper television settings.
SNOWY TELEVISION PICTURE:
• Verify that television settings are correct.
•
Correct channel configuration (channel 3 /
, or A/V input).
• Make sure video cables are installed properly.
INTERMITTENT PICTURE FOR
SHORT INTERVALS:
• Ensure that all video connections are installed
properly.
• Confirm clear line of sight to the satellite.
• Verify that the receiver is locked on the satellite
from the Setup Menu of the receiver.
PICTURE SCRAMBLED,
PARTIAL OR FREEZING:
• Ensure that coaxial cable connections are
installed properly.
• Confirm clear line of sight to the satellite.
• Verify that the receiver is locked on the satellite
from the Setup Menu of the receiver.
• Check that the radome of the antenna is
free of any obstructions (water, snow, ice,
or debris).
