14.2  Settings

This menu option allows the user to set parental controls and edit user settings.  There is also an installer 
selection for system settings.

1.  

Parental Control

 - This allows the parent to control the content that can be viewed and the content 

that can be blocked.  The default PIN is 0-0-0-0.  

Channel Block

 - Use this screen to block specific channels.  Use the up/down arrow keys to 

highlight the channel you want to block.  Select 

OK

 to highlight that channel.  Select the blue 

B

 

button on the remote to accept the changes.

Set Ratings

 - This allows the parents to block channels that exceeds a selected rating.  Select what 

program ratings are allowed to be viewed by selecting 

OK

 over the highlighted rating.  Select the 

blue 

B

 button on the remote to accept changes. 

Change Menu PIN

 - Enter in the old and new PIN to change.  Select the blue 

B

 button on the 

remote to accept the changes.  It is recommended to change the PIN to prevent unauthorized access.

User Setup

 - This allows the user to program various system settings.  Use the up/down and left/right 

arrows to highlight each selection.  Select 

OK

 on the remote to select/deselect menu options.  Select the 

blue 

B

 button on the remote to accept menu changes.

Edit Favorites

 - Use this screen to add or remove favorite channels.

Language Setup

 - This allows the user to select what language the Electronic Program Guide (EPG) 

will be displayed.  Enable Closed Captioning in this menu.  

Audio

 - This menu allows the user to select English or Spanish as the preferred audio.  Audio delay 

allows the user to extend the delay which is useful when using a surround sound system.

Notifications

 - This allows the user to select the banner duration, reminder for audio tune and 

reminder notification times.  

Screensaver Setup

 - This menu allows the user to select how long it takes the screensaver to appear 

after inactivity by the user while in the menu options or Program Guide.

Region ID Setup

 - This menu allows the user to select the region that the system is operating within.
