SET-UP INSTRUCTIONS

Backrest Set-Up – AP / SP Models

Tools needed: 7/16” wrench, and 5/32” hex key

1.  Remove Shower Chair from shipping carton.

2.  Place a coved spacer on the outside of both

vertical backrest frame tubes.  Align spacer
with hole on bottom of frame.

3.  Lift the backrest to an upright position in

order to trap the coved spacers between the
backrest mounting plates and the backrest
frame tubes.

TIP: For one-person assembly, place one coved spacer on
the backrest tube just below the pivot point of the backrest
frame, partially lift the backrest up to secure it in place and
then place the second coved spacer lower on the backrest
tube and then lift the backrest to an upright position.

4.  Insert an included 2” bolt with a washer

through one of the intersecting holes on the
backrest plate, then push through the coved
spacer and frame.
Select the middle hole for a 90° backrest,
rear hole for 85° or front hole for 95° backrest
angle.

TIP: A Phillips screwdriver can be inserted through one
plate and frame to temporarily secure the backrest in an
upright position.

5.  Fasten the other end of the screw with a

coved spacer, washer and locknut.

6.  Tighten the assembly with hex key and

wrench.

7.  Repeat steps 4 to 6 for other frame

tube.
