6.3 LITHIUM BATTERY - FAST CHARGING
6.4 LITHIUM BATTERY - STORAGE
The charging current decreases as the process nears the end of charging of lithium
batteries. To complete the charging process sooner, this program eliminates certain terms
from the CV process. In fact, the charging current increases to 1/5 of the initial value to
complete the process while normal charging increases to 1/10 during the CV process. The
charging capacity may be a little lower than the normal charge, but the process duration
will be reduced.
You can adjust the current and voltage of the battery to be
charged. The current will be used to charge or discharge the
battery to reach the storage voltage level.
The display shows the current situation during the charging pro-
cess. To stop charging, press the
BATT TYPE/STOP
button once.
The STORAGE function allows safe storage for a ± long period of time. The program analyz-
es and determines whether the battery must be charged or discharged to reach the storage
voltage depending on the type of Lithium battery: 3.70V for Lilo - 3.80V for LiPo - 3.85V for
LiHv - 3.3V for LiFe per cell. If the voltage of the battery in its initial stage is higher than the
storage voltage level, the program will start discharging the battery.
You can adjust the charging current and battery voltage during
charging. When you press the
START/ENTER
button, the voltage
confirmation is displayed. Then, if you confirm the voltage and
current, press the
START/ENTER
button again to start charging.
This indicates the current status of “FAST” charging. To stop
charging at any time, press the
BATT TYPE/STOP
button once.
