7.1 NIMH / NICD - CHARGING
7.2 NIMH / NICD - DISCHARGING
This program allows you to charge the battery using the cur-
rent you set. In “A” mode, you must set the upper limit of the
charging current to prevent the battery from being damaged by
too high a supply current. This is because in automatic charg-
ing mode some low impedance, low capacity batteries may
generate a higher charging current from the processor. But in
“M” mode, it will charge the battery with the charging current
you set on the display. Each mode can be switched by pressing
the
INC (+)
and
DEC (-)
buttons simultaneously while the current
field is blinking.
The display shows the current charging status . To stop the
process, press the
BATT TYPE/STOP
button once. An audible
tone indicates the end of the process.
Set the discharge current to the left and the final voltage to the
right. The discharge current ranges from 0.1 to 2.0A and the
final voltage ranges from 0.1 to 16.0V). To start the process,
press the
START/ENTER
button for more than 3 seconds.
The display shows the current discharge status. You can
change the discharge current by pressing the
START/ENTER
button during the process. Once you change the current value,
save it by pressing the
START/ENTER
button again.
To stop the discharge, press the
BATT TYPE/STOP
button once.
The audible sound indicates the end of the process.
