Recording
While You’re
Away (Timer
Recording)
The timer
program
feature lets you
program
the
VCR
to
record
up
to eight different
programs
within
a
one year period. Before setting the timer, make sure that:

The clock
is
set correctly.
*
A
tape with safety tab has been
inserted
with
enough
tape to record the programs.
*
The remote
is
set to control the
VCR
—
using
VCR1 (VCR2).
Setting a
Timer Recording
1.
Press PROG
VCR+
on the remote to
display
the menu.
If VCR
PLUS
PROGRAM
menu appears,
press PROG
VCR+
again.
Press
2
to
display
the
TIMER PROGRAM
menu.
Press
1, 2,
or 3 to select
type
of
program.
1
ONE TIME PROGRAM
-
single program.
2
DAILY
PROGRAM
—-
Monday
through
Friday.
3 WEEKLY PROGRAM
-
same
program
once
a
week.
Press
number buttons
on the remote to enter the channel
number
(or
INPUT
on the
VCR
to
select line
input),
time to
begin, time to
turn
off,
and date
of
the
recording. Just follow
the on-screen
prompts.
Select
recording speed using
SPEED on the remote
or
TAPE
SPEED on the
VCR.
Press PROG
VCR+
to
enter your
program.
A
reminder
appears
which will time
out
or you can press PROG
VCR+
to
return
to the main menu.
PROGRAM OVERLAP
may
appear
on the screen if you have
entered two
programs
where the times overlap.
Repeat steps
2-6
for
additional programs or press
PROG
VCR+
to remove the
menu
from the TV screen.
Turn off the
VCR
before
recording
begins.
A
non-flashing
indicator
should appear
in the VCR's
display panel.
If
using
a
cable box, leave it
turned
on and
tuned
to the
channel you
want
to record.

Press PROG
VCR+
on remote to
display
main
menu
on
TV
screen.
If VCR
PLUS
PROGRAM
menu appears,
press PROG
VCR+
again.
Press
3
for
PROGRAM REVIEW.
Each
entered program
is
displayed
for
a
few seconds in
sequence.
Press
DISPLAY
or
3
to display information at
a
faster pace.
Press
CLEAR
when the
program
you
want
to
erase
appears
on
the screen.
