WASHING
Washing using your scrubber/drier is very simple. Experience will enable you to improve results by choo-
sing the most suitable type of brush and detergent, by deciding when to use the two phase procedure, etc.
If the fl oor is very dirty or in case of very tough dirt, the two phase procedure should be used. A fi rst pass
is made on a few tens of square metres of fl oor using the brushes only and with the squeegee raised. This
allows the detergent solution to remain on the fl oor to remove the dirt. A second pass is performed with the
squeegee lowered to pick up the loosened dirt.
DANGER!
THIS TYPE OF OPERATION MUST BE CARRIED OUT IN A ZONE TO WHICH
UNAUTHORISED PERSONNEL DO NOT HAVE ACCESS; PLACE AN APPROPRIATE
SIGN.
To carry out the cleaning procedure, proceed as follows::
·
Start brush rotation by pressing button 13 (fi g. 3) marked with the brush symbol.
·
Turn on the cleaning water (solution) tap by turning the lever 5 fi g. 3 forward.
To adjust the pressure applied to the fl oor turn the trimmer 1 (fi g. 3) until the required pressure is obtained.
The pressure thus set will be maintained constant.
To set the cleaning water fl ow-rate, set the lever 5 in an intermediate position so that the whole surface
immediately behind the brushes is thoroughly wet but there is no excess water causing splashes, spills or
overfl ows from the squeegee.
·
Start the suction system by pressing the button 6 (fi g. 3). When travel is started the squeegee au-
tomatically descends to suck up the water.
·
Preset the joystick 16 (fi g. 3) on A (as described in the DESCRIPTION OF CONTROLS section).
·
Press the accelerator pedal 3 (fi g. 3) so that the scrubber/drier moves forward at the required speed
and cleaning begins.
·
Three types of speed can be selected. Turning the switch 12 (fi g. 3) to the “tortoise” symbol provides
low speed and thorough cleaning, the “hare” setting gives a high speed for travelling between jobs
and the position between the “tortoise and hare” symbols gives an intermediate speed and level of
cleaning.
·
To travel backwards, set the joystick 16 (fi g. 3) in position B (as described in the DESCRIPTION OF
CONTROLS section); the squeegee is raised automatically and the machine can move backwards.
When the cleaning and drying operation is complete, proceed as follows:
-
Turn off the water by moving the lever 5 (fi g. 3) to the fully back position.
-
Stop brush rotation by pressing the button 13 (fi g. 3) to the “STOP” position.
-
Stop scrubber/drier travel; the brushes will automatically be raised from the fl oor within six seconds

Stop scrubber/drier travel; the brushes will automatically be raised from the fl oor within six seconds.
-
