8-FILLING WITH HEAT TRANSFER FLUID
A 40:60 mixture ratio provides frost protection down to -24 °C (40 parts propylene glycol and 60 parts water). Further drops in temperature
below -24 °C lead to the formation of ice but with no explosive effect. In locations with a risk of temperatures below -30 °C you are advised
to use a 50:50 mixture ratio.
It is essential to mix the heat transfer fluid in a separate tank before filling the system.
Collectors must be filled with heat transfer fluid even if the external temperature of the plan is higher than freezing
(0 °C).
