Adapter Mounting Bracket

Assemble the hood mounting kit except for the mounting brackets 093761 and 093759.

The finished assembly will weigh less than 100 pounds.  The mounts you design need to be
strong enough to carry that load at the distance it is back from the supports.  Generally, adapters
can be made with 2 x 2 inch square tubing that has a wall thickness of 1/8 inch or more.  Angle
iron is also useful and can be 2 x 2 x 3/16 leg thickness or more.  The adapter plate is mild
steel so common welding methods are used to weld the parts together.

Attach the insert bracket (093759)
to the aluminum bar on the back of
the hoods using the included U-bolts
(BU031-200-275-5) and nuts (NTF-
031).

Hoods need to be mounted so the nozzle body tip inside the hood is the same height as the
machine’s nozzle body tip.

Ideal spray height is achieved when the front curtain lower edge touches your target height.

The rear curtains are longer and drag on the crop to provide a seal for the management of
spray drift.
