the integrity of the smoker. You have purchased a SMOKER, not a GRILL. There are several less
expensive grills out there if that is what you intend to do.
2.
NEVER leave you smoker outside in wet or damp conditions when not in use. It is a metal object
that does not really like being wet.
3.
Do not clean the insides of the smoker after using it. It is the “seasoning” that you will work
hard to achieve after several uses.
4.
Do NOT use lighter fluid to start your smoker!!! Unless you enjoy the taste of petroleum…..use
the lighting method we describe in this manual.
5.
Don’t keep constantly opening and closing the unit while in operation. It relies on a regulated
intake of oxygen to maintain its consistent temperature.
6.
Don’t add charcoal after you have lit the smoker. This will “drown” out the lit charcoal and
cause a rapid temperature. If you fill the basket full, there will most likely be charcoal left at the
end of cooking that you can re-use later.
7.
DO NOT USE THIS SMOKER INSIDE!!!! It emits a lot of smoke (and CO2) which humans and pets
do not like very well.
8.
Do not use wood by itself. You will need charcoal in this unit to make it work properly.
