13. Troubleshooting
RC system
RC system does not work
Range too short
Servos do not respond properly
RC system does not work properly
when the engine is running
Transmitter and/or receiver batteries are empty
Batteries inserted incorrectly
Plug of receiver batteries has come loose
Transmitter and/or receiver batteries are low
Received power of aerial too low
Transmitter aerial is not extended
The aerial of the receiver is not fully extended
Receiver aerial has been cut off
Transmitter and/or receiver batteries are low
Pinions in the servo gear do not engage properly or are faulty
Adjusting rings on the control arms are loose
Servo reverse switch has accidentally been switched to "REV"
Receiver crystal is loose
Plug of receiver batteries has come loose
Receiver is damaged, e.g. after a crash
Replace the transmitter and/or the receiver batteries
Check the polarity of the batteries
Reconnect the plug tightly
Replace the transmitter and/or the receiver batteries
Completely extend the transmitter aerial, completely unroll the
receiver aerial and lay it upwards
Pull out the aerial completely
Pull out the aerial wire completely
Have the receiver repaired
Replace the transmitter and/or the receiver batteries
Have the servo repaired or replace it
Fasten the adjusting rings again, use factory settings
Switch the servo reverse to "NORM"
Re-insert the receiver crystal
Reconnect the plug tightly
Have the receiver repaired
Engine or fuel system
The engine does not start
Engine is not supplied with fuel
Defective glow plug or empty starting battery
Starting battery defective
Fuel tank is empty or carburettor is not filled
Carburettor is not adjusted correctly
Fuel is old or impure
Combustion chamber is full of fuel (engine flooded)
Secondary air is sucked in via the fuel tube or the engine
Servo linkage is not adjusted correctly
Fuel tube, air filter or exhaust pipe blocked
Main jet needle completely screwed in
Idle speed mixture too lean
Fuel tubes bent
Fuel tank defective
Replace the glow plug, charge the starting battery
Replace the starting battery
Fill the fuel tank and pump fuel to the carburettor
Re-adjust idle speed and main jet needle
Replace the fuel and check the fuel filter
Unscrew the glow plug and proceed as described in the
corresponding section
Check/replace the fuel tubes and/or fasten all engine screws
Put servo in neutral position and re-adjust it
Clean blocked parts, replace them if necessary
Reset the main jet to factory settings
Reset the idle speed mix adjustment screw to
factory settings
Check and straighten out the fuel hoses
Replace the fuel tank
