h) Switching on the Speed Controller
Switch on the speed controller (see chapter 9. g, figure 3). Now check the drive and steering functions of the vehicle
(also see next chapter 9. i).
In general, the manufacturer's default settings are correct and no adjustments are required.
For programming the speed controller, please observe chapter 11.
Chapter 11. a) describes how the neutral and full throttle positions for forward and reverse driving must be
performed.
Chapter 11. b) describes the other programming possibilities for the speed controller (e.g. braking function,
hand brake, etc.). The manufacturer has already performed a suitable pre-programming. It should not be
changed for the first few attempts at driving.
i) Check Drive and Steering Functions
Before every trip you should check that the remote control settings are correct and whether the vehicle reacts
appropriately to control commands.
As described in chapter 9. g), the vehicle has to be placed on a suitable support (box, starter box, etc.) so
that the wheels can turn freely and do not touch the ground.
• If the vehicle drive starts even though the throttle/brake lever at the transmitter is in its neutral position, adjust the
trimming at the transmitter (trimming control "TH.TRIM" for throttle/brake, see chapter 8, figure 1, item 8), until the
engine stops.
• Adjust the steering trim (trimming control "ST TRIM, see chapter 8, figure 1, item 7) so that the front wheels are
straight when the control wheel (figure 1, item 5) is released. The precise trimming for directional stability can be
made later when driving.
• Ensure that the steering responds correctly to the control wheel (figure 1, item 5). Should the response be in the
opposite direction (wheel turned left, steering turns right), put the "ST.REV" reverse switch (figure 1, item 9) in the
other position.
• Check if the drive responds correctly to the throttle/brake lever (figure 1, item 4); see chapter 9. k.
If the driving and braking functions at the transmitter work exactly opposite (brake is activated when the throttle/
braking lever is pulled towards the handle), put the "TH.REV" reverse switch (figure 1, item 10) into the other position
or swap two of the three cables between the motor and the speed controller.
j) Attaching and Fastening the Vehicle Body
Push the aerial tube from the bottom of the body through the designated opening.
Now put the car body on the holders and fasten the vehicle lining with the safety clips removed at the beginning.
Your car is now ready for its first test run!
