• Function #5, green LED, flashes 5x short: Maximum braking strength
The speed controller unit allows proportional braking strength depending on the setting of the transmitter lever. The
maximum braking power at full lever extension can be adjusted to 25%, 50%, 75% and 100%.
A high setting (e.g. 100%) decreases braking distance but has a negative effect on the lifetime of the drive (specifi
-
cally for the drive pinion, toothed belt and the main gear).
c) Resetting the Speed Controller
This function will reset all settings that were adjusted in the speed controller unit to the original factory settings (see
grey marks in the table in chapter 11. b).
Proceed as follows:
• Switch on the transmitter. Leave the throttle/brake lever in its neutral position and do not move it.
• Switch on the speed controller. The vehicle should now be ready for operation; no LED is lit on the speed control
-
ler.
• Press and hold the setup button until the red and green LEDs flash slowly at the same time.
• Turn off the speed controller (switch to „OFF“; see figure in chapter 11. a) or b). All settings are then reset to the
factory setting, see table in chapter 11. b).
The programming of the neutral position and the full throttle positions for forward and reverse driving are deleted as
well.
For reprogramming of the speed controller, proceed as described in chapter 11. a) and 11. b).
Important!
If a LiPo battery is used as a drive battery, check the basic settings of the speed controller for whether
undervoltage protection is activated (usually 3.0 V/cell). With the undervoltage recognition deactivated or
when the value set is too low, the LiPo battery will suffer deep discharge and be destroyed.
If a NiMH driving battery is used, switch off undervoltage recognition or set it to a lower value (2.5 V/cell)
than for LiPo batteries, see chapter 10. b).
