8. Operation
a) Installing the Receiver Aerial Cable
Now remove the car body. Remove the car body splints and take off the body upwards. Then open the receiver box. Its
lid is also secured with clips.
Unroll the aerial cable completely and smoothen it carefully. Then insert the aerial cable from below through the
corresponding opening in the lid of the receiver box and then through the included aerial tube.
Plug the aerial tube into the respective holder in the receiver box's lid.
Never shorten the aerial cable! Never roll up the aerial cable! This greatly reduces the range!
b) Inserting Batteries/Rechargeable Batteries into the Transmitter
Open the transmitter’s battery compartment and insert either batteries or fully charged rechargeable batteries. Observe
correct polarity (plus/+ and minus/-), see label on the battery compartment. Close the battery compartment. Also
observe the enclosed operating instructions for the remote control system.
c) Putting the Transmitter into Operation
Switch on the transmitter and put the trimming for steering and driving into the centre positions.
If the transmitter has a dual rate function, deactivate it or set it to unlimited steering deflection. Please also note the
operating instructions of the remote control system.
d) Inserting the Driving Battery in the Vehicle
Attention!
The driving battery must not be connected to the speed controller yet. First switch on the transmitter, see
chapter 8. b) and c).
Important!
This vehicle is exclusively suitable for use with NiMH rechargeable batteries with 6 cells (nominal voltage
7.2V) or LiPo rechargeable batteries with 2 cells (nominal voltage 7.4V).
When using a drive battery with more cells, there is a danger of fire from overheating of the speed controller.
Apart from this, the vehicle's drive will be overloaded and damaged by this (e.g. differential). Loss of
guarantee/warranty!
Pull off the safety clips on the retainer of the battery pack and then lift the retainer upwards from the vehicle. Insert the
driving battery into the chassis battery holder. Reinsert the attachment strut in the right orientation and reattach it with
the safety clips removed in the beginning.
