8. Operation
a) Removing the Car Body
The car body is attached to the vehicle with a special magnetic holder. This permits quick and easy attachment and
removal of the car body. For this, take the car body at the front of the vehicle and pull it off upwards. This requires some
strength. However, do not use any force. Then proceed accordingly at the rear of the car body.
b) Installing the Receiver Aerial Cable
The receiver and the aerial cable are located in the closed receiver box. Open the receiver box by un-
screwing the four screws of the cover and removing the cover.
To protect the receiver from vibrating, we recommend wrapping it in foam before closing the receiver box
again.
Unwrap the aerial cable completely and smooth it out carefully. For this, hold the aerial cable near the receiver with two
fingers (do not hold the receiver but the cable) and then pull the cable straight repeatedly with two fingers of your other
hand.
Then insert the aerial cable through the holder in the receiver box lid from below.
Guide it through the aerial tube and plug the aerial tube into the respective holder in the receiver box cover. Simply let
any excess cable hang loosely out of the aerial tube. If a rubber cap is enclosed with the aerial tub, plug it onto the
upper end of the aerial tube; it prevents dislocation of the aerial cable.
Never shorten the aerial cable! Never roll up the aerial cable! This greatly reduces the range.
Close the receiver box again carefully, replace the cover and screw it down tightly. Make sure that the cables are not
pinched or damaged.
c) Inserting the Driving Battery in the Vehicle
Attention!
The driving battery must not be connected to the speed controller yet.
Loosen the hook and loop tapes of the battery holder and place the driving battery in the battery holders. Tighten the
hook and loop tapes again before closing them.
The following driving batteries can be used for operating the speed controller/vehicle
- a 4-cell LiPo battery (rated voltage 14.8 V)
- a 12-cell NiMH battery (rated voltage 14.4 V)
- two 2-cell LiPo batteries (rated voltage 7.4 V each) via the included Y-adapter
- two 6-cell NiMH batteries (rated voltage 7.2 V each) via the included Y-adapter
