d) Inserting Batteries / Rechargeable Batteries into the Transmitter
Open the transmitter’s battery compartment and insert either batteries or fully charged rechargeable batteries. Ob-
serve correct polarity (plus/+ and minus/-), see label on the battery compartment. Close the battery compartment
again.
Observe the enclosed operating instructions for the remote control system.
e) Taking the Transmitter into Operation
Switch on the transmitter and put the trimming for steering and driving functions into the centre positions.
If the transmitter has a dual rate function, deactivate it or set it to unlimited steering deflection.
Observe the enclosed operating instructions for the remote control system.
f) Inserting the Drive Battery into the Vehicle
Attention!
The drive battery must not be connected to the speed controller yet. Set the right battery type at the speed
controller (see chapter 9. c). Then switch on the transmitter, see chapter 9. d) and 9. e).
Important!
This vehicle is suitable only for use with a LiPo drive battery with 2 cells (nominal voltage of drive battery
7.4 V) or NiMH drive battery with 6 cells (nominal voltage 7.2 V).
When using a drive battery with more cells, there is a danger of fire from overheating of the speed control
-
ler. Apart from this, the vehicle's drive will be overloaded and damaged by this (e.g. differential). Loss of
guarantee/warranty!
Remove the hook-and-loop tape (A) of the battery holder.
Now insert the drive battery so that the connection cable
of the rechargeable battery points backwards. Otherwise,
the connection cable could impair the steering mechanism
in its function.
Pull the hook-and-loop tape tight so that the drive battery
is seated firmly, and close the hook-and-loop tape.
