e) Clearing/Locking the Drive
To keep the motors from starting up accidentally imme-
diately after the rechargeable battery is connected, they
need to be cleared in the remote control.
For this, move the pitch control stick (figure 13) diago
-
nally downwards to the right and hold this position for
approx. 3 seconds.
If you move the pitch control stick slightly forward now,
the motors will start to turn.
If the pitch control stick is in the bottom position (motor
off) for 10 seconds, the drive is re-locked for reasons
of safety.
You can activate the lock by moving the pitch control
stick diagonally down to the left and leaving it there for
3 seconds.
f) Basic Information Relevant for Controlling of Quadrocopters
Before you fly your model, you should first familiarize yourself with the control possibilities open to you and thereby
be able to fly safely.
The symmetrical setup of the model makes it very difficult to assign the alignment (front/rear). Therefore, the propel
-
lers of the two arms pointing forward are made of white plastic. The rear propellers, in contrast, are made of black
plastic. Additionally, the LEDs pointing down have different colours and are permanently lit or flash alternatingly.
The racecopter is controlled via the two control sticks at the remote control transmitter. The functions described on
the following pages are available.
