f) Connecting the Flight Batteries
Move the control stick for the pitch and yaw functions (also see figure 2, item 15) to the bottom position and switch
(figure 2, item 3) to the opposition and switch on the transmitter with the on/off switch. Place the racecopter onto a
horizontal, level surface.
Then connect the racecopter connection (1) protected
against polarity reversal to the plug connector of the
flight battery.
The LED strips (1, 2) at the bottom of the racecopter
are lit permanently after pushing in the rechargeable
battery.
To recognise the position of the racecopter in the air
well, the LED strip at the front is lit "red" and the LED
strip at the rear of the racecopter is "white".
After connecting the battery, the electronic in the
racecopter performs an internal reconciliation (initiali-
sation) for approx. 5 seconds. During this time, the blue
LED flickers very quickly in flight control; the racecopter
must not be moved or turned during this.
Once initialisation is complete, the blue LED will flash
much more slowly (approx. 2 Hz). Now your racecopter
is ready to start.
