18. Troubleshooting
Even though the model and the remote control system were built to the state of the art, there may still be malfunctions
or faults. For this reason, we would like to give you some information on how to deal with possible problems.
Problem
Remedy
Transmitter doesn’t respond.
• Check the batteries in the transmitter.
• Check the polarity of the batteries in the transmitter.
• Check the on/off switch.
• Check the battery contacts of the remote control.
Transmitter switches off on its
own at once of after a short
period.
• Check the battery display of the remote control.
• Check or replace the batteries in the transmitter.
The racecopter does not react.
• Check function of the remote control transmitter.
• Activate the racecopter again and ensure that the control stick for the pitch
function has been moved all the way to the back.
• The pitch trim is not in the middle position.
• Check digital code.
• Perform the binding function.
• For test purposes, change the receiver and bind again.
Propellers do not start.
• Clear drive.
• Check flight battery charging state.
• For test purposes, try another flight battery.
• Pitch trim set too far up.
Racecopter tips to the side
when starting.
• Switch on the racecopter again and do not move the model while doing so.
• Check ease of movement of the drive motors.
Racecopter shows too little
performance or too short flight
times.
• Check flight battery charging state.
• Replace flight battery.
The Racecopter always flies in
one direction.
• Adjust transmitter trimming.
• Difficult flight conditions (wind or draft).
The range between transmitter
and racecopter is very low.
• Check batteries in the transmitter.
• Check the receiver aerial for damage.
• Install the receiver aerial in a different position in the model for test purposes.
