e) Controlling the Vehicle
Operate the throttle/braking lever for the drive function at the transmitter very cautiously and do not drive too fast at
the beginning until you get used to the car's reactions. Do not make any quick and jerky movements with the operating
elements of the remote control.
Never point the transmitter aerial directly onto the vehicle. It will strongly decrease the range. The maximum range will
be achieved when the aerial of the transmitter and vehicle are both vertical and in parallel to each other.
If the vehicle tends to pull towards the left or the right, set the steering trim on the transmitter accordingly (trim control-
ler "ST.TRIM").
When switching between forward and reverse gears, the throttle/brake lever at the transmitter must be put in the
neutral position briefly (approx. 1 second) (neutral position = let go of lever, do not move it). If the throttle/brake lever
at the transmitter is moved from forward to reverse directly, the brake function of the drive is activated (vehicle will
NOT reverse).
Wait for at least 5 - 10 minutes until motor and speed controller have cooled down sufficiently before the next run. Only
then start a new drive with a full drive battery.
1. Let go of throttle/brake lever (neutral position); the vehicle rolls to a halt or does not move anymore (if necessary,
adjust the trim control for the driving function at the transmitter)
2. Drive forwards, slowly pull the throttle/brake lever towards the handle
3. Drive forwards and then brake (vehicle slows down; it does not roll to a halt slowly); push throttle/brake lever away
from the handle without stopping
4. Going forwards and then going in reverse (wait briefly between changes and leave the lever in its neutral position!)
Wait briefly
