9. Getting started with the transmitter
The numbers used in these instructions refer to the illustration alongside the text or the illustrations within
the respective section. Cross references to other figures are indicated with the corresponding number.
a) Inserting batteries
4 AAA batteries (e.g. Conrad item no. 652347, 4 pack, order x1) are required to power the transmitter.
Important:
Use only standard batteries (1.5 V/cell) and not rechargeable batteries (1.2 V/cell) as the power supply for
the transmitter.
To insert the batteries, proceed as follows:
Loosen the retaining screw (1) on the battery compartment
cover (2) on the back of the transmitter with a suitable
screwdriver.
Press the corrugated surface (3) and slide the battery com-
partment cover off upwards.
Insert 4 AAA batteries with correct polarity following the
instructions on the bottom of the battery compartment (4).
The wide spring contact (5) must always be connected to
the negative pole of the battery.
Lastly, close the battery compartment cover by sliding it
downwards and click it back into place in the transmitter
housing.
Then tighten the retaining screw on the battery compart-
ment cover (1) again.
In the battery compartment, there is a micro-
USB socket (see Figure 2, no. 6) for service
purposes only (e.g. for troubleshooting or
changing the manufacturer’s firmware). Do not
connect a cable to the socket!
