d) Assembly of the antenna
Roll out the antenna cable of the integrated receiver
entirely and carry this through the supplied antenna
pipe (1).
Then place the antenna pipe from top to bottom in
the designated clamp (2). Do not press the antenna
pipe from the side into the clamp, otherwise this
may break!
You can then loosely wrap the overhanging cable
along the outside of the antenna pipe and fasten
the end with adhesive tape.
Please ensure that the antenna cable in the elec-
tronics system does not form a loop or knot as this
can impair the operating range.
Attention!
Under no circumstances should the antenna wire become loose or be in slewing range of the rotors.
Otherwise, the antenna wire may be unintentionally shortened or block one of the rotors. In both cases
there is a risk of crashing for the model.
Should you wish to retrofit your helicopter with your own remote control with 2.4 GHz, this step is not
applicable due to the short antenna. The transmitter to be used must have a composite signal. Retrofitting
with your own remote control requires a certain amount of specialist knowledge and in the case of doubt
should be carried out in a specialist work centre.
e) Assembly of the receiver crystal
To operate the quadrotor helicopter you will require
a FM-A-Band 35-MHz crystal pair and a FM-A-Band
35-MHz-remote control transmitter with the modu-
lation type PPM.
Choose the suitable crystal pair and place the R-/
RX-crystal (1) in the transmitter of the quadrotor
helicopter (2) on the control board (3) and the T-/
TX crystal in your remote control transmitter.
You will find the transmitter on the mid electronics
system in the synthetic frame. You will recognise it
by the black cable that comes from it.
For installation of the crystal, you can remove the
lower enclosure by unfastening the four screws or
you can insert the crystal through the removed up-
per enclosure into the receiver module by using
forceps or angle crocodile clamps
