14. Troubleshooting
Problem
Suggestion
The car does not move.
• Check that the remote control and car are switched on.
• Check for any loose or damaged parts/wires/connectors.
•
Car battery may be flat. Charge the battery.
• The speed controller heat protection circuit may have been triggered. Stop
using and let the speed controller cool down.
The car runs slowly.
• Car battery may be low. Charge the battery.
• Check if any moving parts are obstructed by dirt or debris. Immediately clear
any obstructions/clean if necessary.
• Check if the
SPEED SWITCH
dial is set to low.
There is little or no throttle
response but you can steer.
• Car battery may be low. Charge the battery.
• Make sure you are within transmission range.
The car is noisy.
Check if any moving parts are obstructed by dirt or debris. Immediately clear any
obstructions/clean if necessary.
The car does not move in a
straight line.
• You may need to adjust the
STEERING TRIM
.
• Check the alignment and adjust if needed. See section “Tuning” for further
information.
Cannot charge the batteries.
•
Make sure the power source can deliver sufficient charging current.
• The battery or charger may be damaged and need replacing. Contact
customer service or a qualified technician.
The car battery heats up when
charging and driving the car.
This is normal.
Steering inputs are reversed.
Flip the
STEERING REVERSE
switch.
