9. Operation
a) Removing the bodywork
Remove the four safety clips on the upper side of the vehicle and lift the body off upwards.
b) Inserting batteries/rechargeable batteries in the transmitter
Open the battery compartment on the transmitter and insert either batteries or fully charged rechargeable batteries.
Please observe the correct polarity (pay attention to plus/+ and minus/-), see labelling in the battery compartment.
Replace the battery compartment cover.
Follow the operating instructions included for the remote control system.
c) Putting the transmitter into operation
Switch on the transmitter and set the trim for the steering and driving functions in the central position.
If the transmitter has a dual rate function, deactivate it or adjust it so that the steering lock is not limited.
Follow the operating instructions included for the remote control system.
d) Inserting the drive battery in the vehicle
Attention!
The drive battery must not yet be connected to the speed controller. First switch on the transmitter, see
section 9. b) and 9. c).
Important!
This vehicle is suitable for use with a LiPo drive battery with max. 3 cells (nominal voltage 11.1 V).
When using a drive battery with more cells, there is a danger of fire resulting from the speed controller
overheating. In addition, the vehicle's drive will be overloaded and thus damaged (e.g. differential). This will
void the warranty.
Check whether the battery has a suitable connector system for the speed controller and that the polarity is
correct (red cable = po, black cable = negative/-).
Remove the two clips (B) and lift the frame (A) off the bat-
tery holder.
Insert the vehicle battery. Ensure that the connection ca-
ble is behind the battery, otherwise the cable may impair
the steering mechanism.
Replace the frame and secure it in place with the clips that
you previously removed.
