b) Driving the vehicle
• Improper use can cause serious injury and damage to property!
• Only use the vehicle when you are fully alert and able to respond. As is the case when driving a real
vehicle, fatigue, alcohol or medications can affect your ability to react.
• This model vehicle must not be used on public roads, spaces or paths. In addition, do not operate it on
private grounds without the owner's permission.
• Never use the model in an area that may endanger other people, animals or objects. Do not drive
towards people or animals!
• Before using the vehicle in a specially designated area (e.g. model car racing/rally track), ask the opera-
tor for permission.
• Avoid driving at very low outdoor temperatures. Plastic parts lose their elasticity at cold temperatures.
This can result in serious damage even after a minor accident.
• Do not use the vehicle during thunderstorms, under high-voltage power lines or next to radio masts.
• Protect the vehicle, battery and transmitter from moisture and dirt. Do not expose the transmitter to
direct sunlight or excessive heat for prolonged periods.
• Always leave the transmitter turned on when the vehicle is in use.
• In the event of a malfunction, discontinue use immediately and establish the cause of the problem before
using the model again.
•
To stop the vehicle, always switch the vehicle off first. You can then switch the transmitter off.
• If you do not intend to drive the vehicle for an extended period of time (e.g. for storage), disconnect
the drive battery from the vehicle. Otherwise, the battery may go into deep discharge, which can cause
permanent damage.
• If the batteries in the transmitter are weak, the range will decrease and the vehicle may not respond
properly to transmitter commands. In this case, stop driving the vehicle and switch it off. Then, replace
the batteries in the transmitter with new ones.
• When the vehicle's drive battery is weak, the vehicle will become slow and/or will no longer respond
correctly to the transmitter. The drive battery powers the engine via the built-in speed controller, as well
as the receiver and the steering function.
If the voltage in the drive battery is too low, this affects the receiver and may cause the vehicle to stop
responding to transmitter commands.
In that case, stop driving the vehicle immediately (switch the vehicle and transmitter off). Replace the
drive battery, replace it with a fully charged battery or recharge the battery. Allow the battery to cool down
completely before charging.
• The engine, drive, electronic components and drive battery heat up during use. Take a break of at least
5 - 10 minutes before changing the battery.
