f) Controlling the vehicle
Move the throttle/brake lever on the transmitter very carefully and drive slowly until you are familiar with
how the vehicle responds to the transmitter. Do not move the transmitter controls quickly or jerkily.
Forwards/reverse/stop
The vehicle will move forwards when the engine lever (
5
)
is moved towards the handle.
Move the lever (
5
) away from the handle to reverse the
vehicle.
To bring the vehicle to a standstill, release the lever (
5
) so
that it is in the neutral/centre position.
Left/right
Move the steering wheel (
1
) to the right to make the vehi-
cle move to the right.
Move the steering wheel (
1
) to the left to make the vehicle
move to the left.
Release the steering wheel (
1
) into the neutral/centre po-
sition to make the vehicle drive in a straight line.
Calibrating the steering wheel
If the vehicle does not move in a straight line when the steering
wheel (
1
) is in the centre position, you can calibrate the steering
wheel to prevent it from moving to the left or right.
You can calibrate the steering wheel using the small lever on the
bottom of the vehicle (see circle in the figure to the right).
Turn the lever in small steps until the vehicle moves in a straight
line.
It is normal for the vehicle to deviate slightly from a straight line due to tolerances in the mechanical parts
or uneven surfaces.
