Check the LEDs on the transmitter to make sure the batteries still provide enough power.
• If all 3 LEDs are lit the batteries or rechargeable batteries are full.
• If the green LED goes out (only the red and the yellow LEDs are lit), the batteries are low and should be exchanged
soon. However, the transmitter/remote control and the vehicle can still be operated properly at this battery/rechargeable
battery status.
• If only the red LED is lit, the batteries/rechargeable batteries are spent and must be exchanged for new ones. Stop
operating the vehicle and switch it off. Then switch off the transmitter. Only then should you exchange the batteries
or rechargeable batteries in the transmitter for new ones.
f) Placing the rechargeable battery pack in the car and connecting to the drive control unit
To prevent a sudden movement of the drive and an uncontrolled movement of the model (e.g. if the trim for
the drive is incorrectly adjusted), place the vehicle on a suitable support (such as a starter box), so that the
wheels can turn freely.
Never reach into the drive (tyres, axles, cogs, shafts) there is a risk of injury!
• Remove one of the two retaining brackets on the rechargeable battery attachment. You first need to pull out the
retaining clip. Afterwards the rechargeable battery pack can be inserted (it may possibly be a little tight).
The car requires a standard rechargeable battery pack with 6 cells (NiCd/NiMH).
Ensure that the shape and polarity of the connector plugs on the rechargeable battery pack and the drive control
match accordingly (red cable = "+" /plus, black cable = "-" /minus)
• Replace the retaining bracket again and secure it with the clip you removed initially.
• If you haven't already done so, screw the telescopic antenna into the transmitter (see chapter 9. a) and insert
batteries or rechargeable batteries into the transmitter (see chapter 9. b).
Now switch on the transmitter (see also chapter 9. a) .
• Switch the drive control on the vehicle off (switch position
"OFF", see arrow in figure 2 for switch position).
• Connect the rechargeable battery pack to the drive control.
Do not use force when connecting the plugs. The plugs
are reverse-polarity-protected.
