12. Flip capabilities
The quadrocopter is also designed to fly roll-overs (flips) if desired. You should fly the first flips outside when there
is absolutely no wind. To do this, let the quadrocopter climb to a safe altitude of approx. 2 - 3 m and then hover in
position.
To switch the transmitter to flip mode, press the push but
-
ton (2) for flip mode. To indicate that the transmitter has
switched to flip mode, it emits short beeps continuously.
Now move the joystick for the bob and roll function (see
Figure 1, no. 3) quickly to the limit stop in the direction in
which the quadrocopter should flip and then immediately
bring the joystick back to the centre position.
The quadrocopter executes the roll-over in the desired di-
rection, and afterwards the transmitter ends the flip mode.
To be able to fly another flip, you have to push the button
for flip mode again.
If the LEDs on the quadrocopter are flashing
because the flight battery has fallen below its
lower voltage limit, the quadrocopter no longer
performs the flip function for safety reasons.
