d) Use your smartphone as a camera monitor
To use the smartphone as the camera monitor for FPV flight, the smartphone holder first has to be attached to the
transmitter.
To do this, slide the clamp mechanism on the smartphone
holder (1) over the transmitter antenna until it clicks into
place and turn the fastening screw (2) gently.
The upper holding claw (3) can be moved upwards away
from the holder so that smartphones of different sizes can
be used.
A strong tension spring on the top holding claw ensures a
secure fit for your smartphone.
A ball head (4), which can be carefully adjusted, means
that the smartphone can be aligned optimally.
The transmission of images to the smartphone can now be activated:
•
Go to the WLAN function setup screen in your smartphone's settings area.
•
Start up the transmitter, then the quadrocopter. The LEDs in the quadrocopter must remain on.
•
After a short time, the quadrocopter's WLAN connection appears on the smartphone's display. Activate this WLAN
connection so that the quadrocopter and the smartphone can exchange data with each other.
•
Exit the smartphone’s settings area and open the quadrocopter app.
•
As soon as the "Play" button is pressed, the quadrocopter sends the current camera image to your smartphone.
The blue LED on the camera module flashes slowly.
•
Now fasten the smartphone into the camera holder on the transmitter.
• The quadrocopter is ready for FPV flight.
