13. Fail-safe function
If the receiver/control unit does not receive a correct signal from the transmitter, the motor switches off for safety
reasons (the servo for the steering function remains in its last position).
Reasons for the activation of the fail-safe function include:
• The receiver is too far away from the transmitter
• Interference at the 2.4 GHz frequency from other devices
• The transmitter is switched off
• Receiver is not paired to the transmitter (see section 12)
• The batteries in the transmitter are flat
14. Undervoltage detection
Depending on the type of battery used (can be selected using the jumper on the controller/receiver unit, see section
9b), below a specific voltage the motor performance is reduced to 50 % or the motor is completely switched off in order
to protect the drive battery against a harmful deep discharge.
In this case, turn the vehicle off and disconnect the drive battery from the vehicle and then charge it again (before the
empty battery is charged, allow the battery to fully cool down).
