7. Notes on batteries and rechargeable batteries
Despite the fact that handling batteries and rechargeable batteries in daily life nowadays is a matter of fact,
there are still numerous dangers and problems involved.
Thus, it is imperative that you observe the following general information and safety notes when handling
batteries and rechargeable batteries.
• Batteries/rechargeable batteries must be kept out of the reach of children.
• Do not leave batteries/rechargeable batteries lying around in the open. There is a risk of batteries being swallowed
by children or pets. In such a case, call a doctor immediately!
• Batteries/rechargeable batteries must never be short-circuited, taken apart or thrown into fire. There is a risk of
explosion!
• Acid contact due to leaking or damaged single/rechargeable batteries can burn your skin; therefore, use suitable
protective gloves in this case.
• Do not recharge normal batteries. There is a risk of fire and explosion! Only charge rechargeable batteries which are
intended for this purpose (1.2 V); use suitable battery chargers. Batteries (1.5 V) are meant to be used once only
and must be disposed of when empty.
• Please observe the correct polarity when inserting batteries or connecting to a charger (observe po and
negative/-). Wrong polarity may damage the transmitter, the airplane and the rechargeable batteries. There is also
a risk of fire and explosion.
• Always replace the complete set of batteries. Do not mix full batteries with half-full ones. Always use batteries/
rechargeable batteries of the same type and manufacturer.
• Never mix batteries and rechargeable batteries! Use only standard non-rechargeable batteries for the remote cont
-
rol transmitter.
• If the device is not used for a longer period of time (e.g. storage), take out the inserted batteries of the remote control
to avoid damage from leaking batteries.
Attention!
Unplug the flight battery from the quadrocopter after the flight. Do not leave the flight battery connected to
the quadrocopter when you are not using the model (e.g. during transport or storage). Otherwise, the flight
accumulator can be fully discharged and thus destroyed/unusable!
• Never charge the enclosed flight accumulator immediately after use. Always leave the flight battery to cool down
until it has reached room or ambient temperature again.
• Charge intact and undamaged batteries only. If the external insulation of the rechargeable battery is damaged or if
the rechargeable battery is warped or bloated, it must not be charged. In this case there is serious danger of fire and
explosion!
• Never damage the envelop of the flight accumulator, do not tear the foil cover, do not prick into the rechargeable
battery with sharp objects. There is a risk of fire and explosion!
• Always remove the flight battery from the model for recharging. Never recharge the flight battery unattended.
• Disconnect the flight battery from the charging cable when the battery is fully charged.
