b) Cogwheel icon functions
In Figure 16, no. 6, you will see a cogwheel icon. Selecting this icon opens a sub-menu with "Joystick, Param, Map
and Other" functions (see Figure 17).
Under "Joystick" (Figure 17, no. 7), you can make the following settings for flight operation:
Figure 20a
"Joystick mode":
Selection of Mode 1 and Mode 2 (factory setting). In Mode 2, the altitude and yaw control functions are performed
with the left-hand control; pitch and roll are performed with the right-hand control. This type of control is described
throughout these operating instructions.
If you set Mode 1, the "Altitude control" and "Pitch" control functions will be reversed. In Mode 1, use the left-hand
control to perform pitch and yaw and the right-hand control to perform altitude and roll.
"Gravity mode":
If you set the "Gravity mode" to "YES", the pitch and roll functions will no longer be performed with the app controls,
but with the position sensors of your smartphone. If you move the smartphone to the left or right in the roll function, the
model will float to the left or right, respectively. If you tilt the smartphone forwards or backwards in the pitch function,
the model will float forward or backward, respectively. Please also observe the notes in chapter 15. f).
"
Take off when GPS signal is well":
This function is factory-set to "YES". The model can thus only be started if a sufficient GPS signal is detected. If you
change the setting to "NO", the model can also be started without a GPS signal. However, this setting is not recom-
mended because, for example, the automatic return to the starting point or various safety features can no longer be
performed due to missing GPS signals.
