The greyed out values are the default settings after a reset (see chapter 10. c). The speed controller of your
vehicle may have a different default setting upon delivery; then note the flashing signals of the red LED and
the respective beeps.
Overview of functions:
• Function #1, green LED flashes 1x: Drive function
Here you can use the speed controller to toggle between "Forwards/Brake" and "Forwards/Brake/Backwards"
(reverse travel can thus be disabled). The "Forwards/Backwards" setting should not be used; it is intended for
"crawler" vehicles.
• Function #2, green LED flashes 2x: Brake
If you release the throttle on the transmitter or move the throttle/brake lever on the transmitter back to the neutral
position, the vehicle will slow down by itself. The effect is just like the engine braking function on a "real" car when
you release the accelerator pedal without pressing the brake pedal.
The brake functions like a brake on a standard electric motor (a brushless electric motor does not have strong
magnets that slow down the rotor).
• Function #3, green LED flashes 3x: Low voltage protection
If LiPo drive rechargeable batteries are used, make sure that low voltage protection is enabled (we recommend at
least 3.0 V per cell).
The two LiPo drive rechargeable batteries connected to the vehicle are switched in series. For example, if you
have connected two 2-cell LiPo drive rechargeable batteries (fully charged with total voltage of approx. 16.8 V) and
programmed a cut-off voltage of 3.0 V per cell, the speed controller will switch off the motor if it measures a voltage
of 12.0 V for 2 seconds (4 cells x 3.0 V). This prevents deep discharge of LiPo rechargeable batteries. The speed
controller LED starts flashing red.
When using two 3-cell LiPo drive rechargeable batteries (fully charged with total voltage of approx. 25.2 V) and a
cut-off voltage of 3.0 V per cell, the speed controller will switch off the motor if it measures a voltage of 18.0 V for
2 seconds (6 cells x 3.0 V).
• Function #4, green LED flashes 4x: Startup mode
The vehicle will start to move with more or less force depending on the setting. The higher the setting value, the
more current the motor draws from the connected rechargeable battery; so the rechargeable battery must be high-
performance.
In addition, a higher setting value should be used only when operating the vehicle on loose ground, as otherwise
the drive (gears, pinions, differentials, tyres) will be overloaded.
